Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (O.C.I.A.)
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, also known as O.C.I.A., is the process through which individuals wishing to join the Catholic faith community are welcomed and introduced to the beliefs and practices of the Church. For those who have not yet been baptized, this journey culminates at the Easter Vigil, where they receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. Those previously baptized in another Christian tradition are encouraged to fully participate in the Catholic faith through the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
